1962 Performance at the Cavern, with Clay Ellis and the Raiders, and the Red River Jazz Men.

1963 Studio 2 (control room only). 10.00am-1.15pm. Editing: `Little Child' (of takes 15, 18); `Hold Me Tight' (of takes 26, 29). Recording: `Money (That's What I Want)' (3 unnumbered takes of overdub onto take 7); `I Wanna Be Your Man' (takes 8-13, of overdub onto take 7). Mono mixing: `All I've Got To Do' (from take 15); `Don't Bother Me' (from take 15); `Little Child' (from edit of takes 15, 18); `Hold Me Tight' (from edit of takes 26, 29); `Not A Second Time' (from take 9). Producer: George Martin; Editing: Norman Smith; 2nd Engineer: Geoff Emerick. Recording of piano for `Money (That's What I Want)' and Hammond organ for `I Wanna Be Your Man'.

1963 A review indicates that the Beatles have the most sold LP (`Please Please Me'), EP (`Twist And Shout') and single (`She Loves You') in Britain (Record Retailer).

1963 Billy J. Kramer Limited, a new producing company, is incorporated, with Brian one of its opening directors.

1963 Brian writes to Alistair Taylor, from Liverpool, to confirm his date to have lunch.

1964 Studio 2. 2.30-5.30pm. Recording: `Every Little Thing' (takes 5-9). Studio 2. 6.30-10.30pm. Recording: `What You're Doing' (takes 8-12); `No Reply' (takes 1-8). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Norman Smith; 2nd Engineer: Ken Scott/Mike Stone. Debut of timpani, on take 9 of `Every Little Thing'.

1967 BBC Third Programme becomes Radio 3.

1967 John, George and the Maharishi appear on the TV `David Frost Show'.

1967 Date of end of 5-year contract of the Beatles and Brian.

1967 Frank Zappa, in an interview for the magazine `Disc And Music Echo', affirms that John was right when he said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus.

1968 The Beatles' biography `The Long And Winding Road', is published.

1969 Recording of `Cold Turkey'.

1971 First stereo remix of `Penny Lane'.
