The Beatles


1963

'Please Please Me' LP, 8th week in the Top 10 (UK New Musical Express chart).

Concert at the Royalty, Chester.

John and Cynthia register Julian. [Some day between 12 and 18 May.]

1964
Gerry and the Pacemakers (Films) Limited, film production company, is incorporated, with Epstein one of its opening directors.

1967
Performance of Georgie Fame and the Blue Fames at the Bag O'Nails. Paul and Linda attend, meeting for the first time.

1968

John and Paul, in New York, appear on the TV show 'Tonight', promoting Apple. Paul and Linda meet again.
During a press conference, John and Paul announce they've ended relationships with the Maharishi.

1969
Failure of a possible meeting of the Beatles and minor Northern Songs Ltd. share owners, to avoid ATV's control over the company.

John goes to the US Embassy in London, to try an American visa.

1971
Exhibition of the films 'Apotheosis' and 'Fly' in the Film Festival of Fortnight, France.

1996
British television broadcasts for the first time footage of the Beatles playing at the Casanova club (filmed 14 February 1961).
